St. Boniface Church – Seismic Renovation and Restoration: San Francisco, CA. (see full listing under “Places of Worship”) The project scope included building a new middle school in a former unused administration building – the building was an un-reinforced masonry structure which was seismically strengthened during the project. DF executed programming for school as Owner’s Representative, and managed the project from preliminary design through construction. (1999 - 2002)
St Stephen's School, Classroom and Office Additions, San Francisco, CA. Approx. $1.5M building addition to an elementary school. David Finn served as Owner’s Representative for the Archdiocese of S.F to implement the construction. Managed negotiated contracts bidding, construction contracts, costs, scheduling, as well as testing and quality control. (1999-2000)
Archbishop Riordan High School, Entry Accessibility Renovations, San Francisco, CA. Architect for renovation of entry forecourt and ay circulation included new ramps, railings and signage at the entry stairs in front of the graceful historic building (1997)
University of California, Berkeley, Life Sciences Building, Berkeley, CA. $ 60M, 400,000 sq. ft. David Finn served a job captain for portions of the interior architecture and detailing at new research labs, libraries, museum, lecture halls and classrooms in this major renovation and expansion of the older existing structure. (1989-91) Project executed by The Ratcliff Architects w/ DF as member of project team.
University of California, Berkeley, Foothill Student Housing, Berkeley, CA. Approx. $30M. David Finn served a job captain for portions of the bridge and exterior detailing, and technical coordination for a connection of an existing building to new complex of residence halls. The project encompassed full new dorm, dining hall and residence facilities on a steep hillside site, astride an earthquake fault, in a prominent campus location. (1988-1989) Project executed by The Ratcliff Architects in association with William Turnbull and Associates w/ DF as member of project team.
Sacred Heart/ Cathedral Hill High School, San Francisco, CA. Architectural planning and design for a 100,000 sq. ft. expansion academic building, gymnasium, and overall campus plan. Kaiser Fresno MOB: Fresno California. 205,000 sq. ft. Architectural design for major new medical office building. DF was job captain for design and technical coordination for utility central plant, medical gases, etc, as well as interior detailing. (1989) DF was part of project team at The Ratcliff Architects
