Upon our first visit to an existing restaurant space, the first crucial design act by Brian Laczko and co-designer Anna Veyna was to convince client-operators Jeff Kanbar and Greg Medows to leave a spectacular scuplture along the existing long wall.
New indigo velvet banquettes were installed beneath it. A new wait station and wine storage cabinet was designed as a feature at the end of the space. This cleanly detailed modern casework, using cherry wood and stainless steel, deliberately contrasts with the sumptousness of the velvet and the sculpture. An nearby bar was also installed to echo the cherry wood.
